Applications of Various Series of pillow block bearings

Pillow block bearings are bearing units composed of a sealed outer spherical ball bearing combined with a cast or stamped bearing housing. The outer ring features a hemispherical outer surface that mates with the concave spherical surface of the bearing housing, enabling automatic self-alignment. Compact in design, fully sealed, and easy to install and remove, these bearings are suitable for various applications requiring simple installation and automatic alignment. Depending on the structure of the bearing housing, they are primarily divided into several series, each tailored to specific mounting methods and application scenarios.

UCF Series – Square Flange Mounted Bearings
Structural Features: The UCF series features a square flange housing with mounting holes at each corner, allowing direct bolting to flat surfaces or frames of equipment.
Application: This series is one of the most widely used bearing units with housing, suitable for applications where the bearing unit needs to be directly mounted onto an installation surface. It is commonly used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, agriculture, chemical processing, textiles, printing and dyeing, and conveying machinery.

II. UCP Series – Vertical Housing Bearings
Structural Features: The UCP series features a flat-bottom, solid vertical housing (Type P), representing the most typical structural design among housed bearings. This series includes two sub-series: UCP200 and UCP300. The UCP300 series has reinforcing ribs added to the bearing housing mounting area, providing greater load capacity compared to the UCP200 series.
Applicable scenarios: Suitable for simple support applications on various equipment, especially ideal for vertically mounted drive units. Widely used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, agriculture, chemical processing, textiles, printing and dyeing, and conveying machinery.

3. UCFL Series – Diamond Flange Housing Bearings
Structural Features: The UCFL series features a diamond-shaped flange housing (also known as a stamped diamond flange), which is more compact than square housings, making it suitable for applications with limited installation space.
Suitable for applications where axial or radial installation space is limited. Widely used in screening equipment, construction machinery, machine tools, plastic and rubber industries, among others.

Suitable for applications requiring precise positioning, especially in agricultural machinery, fans, and light-duty transmission devices. Widely used in agricultural machinery, textile machinery, food processing equipment, and conveyor systems.

V. UCT Series – Sliding Base Bearing Units
Structural Features: The UCT series employs a sliding base (T-type base), with a groove on each of the upper and lower ends of the bearing housing, enabling reciprocating movement along the frame. It includes two sub-series, UCT200 and UCT300, with the latter offering greater load capacity.
Application scenario: This is the most distinctive model in the entire series—ideal for applications requiring adjustable shaft spacing, allowing displacement adjustment even during equipment operation. It is commonly used on drive shafts of belt and chain transmission systems.
